Interview and spotlight with Jenn Roseton

I am so excited to have Jenn on the blog today. I have read a few of her books and love her writing style. I came across by chance as she was a new to me author. I have to share her great work.

BBB: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’ve been writing on and off all my life and bought my first Kindle in 2012, read fifty romances on it, and decided I could write my own Kindle romances ?

I’m single and live in Tasmania, Australia, but set my books in the US as I lived briefly in Wyoming a long time ago, and most of my readers live in the US.

BBB: Was there a certain time in your life you knew you wanted to write?

Since I was little. I wrote my first novel at fifteen – I’m sure it was terrible! I can’t remember if I kept it or not or where it is now.

BBB: What are you currently working on?

Captured by Grace, the third book in my Sisters of Rose Lark ranch series. This time it’s Grace’s turn for romance. I’m hoping it will be ready for a mid-June release.

BBB: Of the books you’ve written, which one is your favorite and why?

I have different favorites all the time! But one of my favorites is The Cowboy’s Mail Order Bride, the fifth book in my Billionaire Brothers series. I really liked grumpy Mitch!

BBB: What books have most influenced you as a writer?

All the books I’ve read by Jayne Ann Krentz – I think she’s an amazing writer. And I loved Elizabeth Peters’ mysteries.

BBB: What do you find to be the most challenging part of writing? And the most rewarding?

Putting the words on the page when I don’t feel like writing or if I’m writing a difficult scene. The most rewarding is when the writing is effortless, especially if I’m writing a funny scene and I make myself laugh while typing it.

BBB: What book is on your nightstand?

I’ve just finished Royal Blood by Rhys Bowen – a Lady Georgiana historical mystery. I really enjoyed it.

BBB: What can we look forward to seeing from you in the future?

Grace’s story hopefully mid-June, and then … I’m not sure what I’ll be writing next! I’ll have to decide as there aren’t any more Lockhart sisters.

BBB: Is there anything you’d like to share with your readers?

I live in the country just like my characters do – although not on a ranch!

Jenn Roseton believes that romance and happy endings go together. When she’s not writing, she indulges in delicious gourmet chocolate.

Although she’s spent time in Wyoming, unfortunately she didn’t meet a sexy cowboy of her own.
