Hot high school crush still in town being all successful and stuff while you protest his building projects? All kinds of checks! Did anyone say Witch of Mintwood? Yup! Hi all, my name is Paws and I feature, appear, and am generally the center of attention in the Witch of Mintwood mystery series. I’m a talking ghost cat in these stories, which take place in the beautiful state of Maine.

I thought we’d do a little interview about why I love Maine from the ghost cat perspective. You’ll never guess, but it’s mostly because of the tall grass. Yes, that’s right. Tall grass is my favorite way to catch mice. I can hide out in the reeds. They can try to hide out in the reeds . . . all seems good to me.

Oh, an even better part about it is that birds fly overhead a lot. Sometimes I time a jump just right . . . but I digress. There’s always a reason to visit Maine, and sometimes there’s a reason to stay for a lifetime. I was born and raised here and now I live on the porch. There’s a lovely view of the birds, I mean trees, and given how old the farmhouse is, there’s sure to be a mouse or two. I guess one way or another I always end up back at the same topic. If you’re a ghost cat who is an assistant to the witch of a local town, and you want to live in an old farmhouse, I highly recommend Maine. Besides, ghosts can’t be bothered by the weather, which is a magic trick in and of itself in a state that gets so much snow. You’d love it.
